This composite index was re-created April 29, 2009 by Ralph Ward Toppins rtoppins@charter.net from the transcribed grave marker data of all the cemeteries listed at http://www.usgwarchives.net/mo/iron/ceneteries.html. It is one of the best resources for pre-2008 Iron County burials, but like any transcription effort, it does not include every person buried in a cemetery, e.g., those with missing or non-existent grave markers.

The world's largest collection of cemetery records. This free database, hosted by Ancestry.com is a great place to start your search, but be warned. Records for any given cemetery ARE NOT complete. Individuals post memorials for burials in a given cemetery and those buried without a gravestone or with a gravestone that has become illegible over time may not be included. Users are also warned to verify everything that they find in regard to information contained within the memorials and the linking of one memorial to that of another person.
